A recent trip to the Yucatan Peninsula, in Mexico, provided a stunning new perspective on the world of mangroves. While diving in the Casa Cenote, near Tulum, our Creative Director discovered a magical world of light, colour and tiny tropical fish underneath the mangrove roots.
Like coral reefs, mangrove forests are extremely productive ecosystems. Found all over the world, they are rich environments full of an astonishing diversity of life which make these 'lungs' of the reef essential to the health of our oceans.
The natural world provides designers endless sources of inspiration and the unique opportunity to view this particular visual feast up close, from down underneath, was truely remarkable.
